We're always working on making Biings better. This is the place for new features, official announcements, and updates on Biings.
When listing people with ongoing absences, the Timelines page sometimes showed people with no absences. This depends on the display preferences and whether planned absences are hidden or not. The Ongoing tab now only lists timelines that have an ongoing absence, and according to your display preferences. On top of that we also added a visual warning when planned absences are hidden. Just for those times you forgot to toggle it back on. 😉
The Excel export of the timelines contains more columns for each person, that is: • the person's absence rate • the number of cases and days of illness • the number of cases and days of accident • the employee number (if available) The export can now include planned absences, or not. And finally, when you don't need the graphical representation of absences in the Excel file, you can now disable it.
The search tool now also lists people whose employment contract is terminated. On top of that, each result now shows more details about the person, such as the name of his/her department, this finally allows to distinguish those who share the exact same first and last name.
Biings now displays the expected indemnity amount for each medical certificate. When the MC is covered by one or more indemnities, Biings calculates whether the amount is right or whether it is lower or higher than expected.
Biings used to keep only the most recent organisational structure (departments, teams, etc.). From now on changes in the organisational structure won't get "lost in integration" and previous org units are kept in memory and labeled as "Archived".
Biings indemnity calculator now computes indemnities on a day-by-day basis and works with any kind of insurance policy. Each day is evaluated for indemnity based on the annual salary and against a valid medical certificate, the sent claim report and the policy's conditions (i.e. waiting period, max. salary and min. incapacity rate).
You can now add your SWICA insurance policies and report illnesses and accidents covered by these policies. Each time a report is sent, the claim number issued by SWICA is returned and available directly in Biings.
Claim reports now load in a side panel, much like an absence or any other follow-up action.
New options have been added in order to help you do just that: 1. Now by default only active persons are listed. Previous employee can still be listed via a new toggle switch. 2. Sort the list based on person's last name instead of their first name.
The case overview page now shows a visual compensation summary showing how many days have been compensated by the insurance and how much is still awaiting compensation.
New option to export a person's full activity list to a downloadable Excel file.
You can now add your Helsana insurance policies and report illnesses and accidents covered by these policies. Each time a report is sent, the claim number issued by Helsana is returned and available directly in Biings.
The home screen has been completely redesigned so that it always shows what you have access to – my team, general, my organizations – as well as all your favorite segments (reorganizable, like before).
The focus menu is now also accessible as soon as you connect to Biings.
Our next indicator is here for you to better understand the sustainability of your organisation. Building on Biings absence analytics, you can now get a precise understanding of your organisation turnover.
Since this is part of the report, the same filtering options are available, allowing you to understand which group has the highest or lowest turnover rate.
Reviewing tasks in Biings is now quicker and more comprehensive with the new HR-assistant side panel.
Notifications and alerts are now grouped by types. Each workflow notification gets its own illustration and practice recommandation (eg. how to perform a return-to-work meeting).
On top of a refreshed look, you can now easily toggle between the role and the user list.
The user list can now be sorted in just one click and adds visual cues for your Admin (the ones with a crown) and Expired users.
All user management options are now grouped in a single drop-down menu (•••).
Biings preventive workflows are central to a good absence management policy and helps managers stay informed about their team and which action to conduct. Now Biings lets you see how many follow-up meetings are performed continuously in your organisation.
Since this is part of the analysis report, you can monitory this for any of your current or new segments.
Before, Biings treated claims and absences as two separate informations simply living next to each other. Now, Biings is able to explicitly link an incapacity period (aka an absence) with a claim in order to bring in more contextual information in the case overview page.
Ability to mark a medical certificate as Sent to the insurance. This helps keep Biings in sync with reality as medical certificates are sometimes manually sent to the insurance (e.g. by email).
It is now possible to allow (or disallow) users to either view, add or edit indemnities.
New ability to find someone according to his or her date of birth. Likewise copy-pasting a claim number in the main search field will directly list the corresponding person.
You can now mark a claim as rejected when the insurance has not accepted it. The claim is still accessible from the archive but won't show up as "open".
You can now add your Helvetia insurance policies and report illnesses and accidents covered by these policies. Each time a report is sent, the claim number issued by Helvetia is returned and available directly in Biings.
Starting on February 2021, we've decided to change the way we bring you new features.
From now on we'll update Biings every 2 months. Each update will include new functionnalities, big or small, along with the usual under the hood improvements.
We'll keep you posted here so you can keep track of what's new, and never miss anything.

Back then the company was called ”Forsys Interactive“ ;-)
In 2011 we started thinking about a new kind of absence management software that would put social climat and people first.
